The exhibition *Ψ ≈ X* examines the effects of auditory and visual perception on artworks—and, consequently, the role of the viewer—and presents experiments in transposition between engineering and artistic practices. Here, “X” denotes the metastable state between uncertainty and indeterminacy. This condition characterises the collaborative practice of the artist duo Refakt, in which noise, randomness, and speculative design coexist on the same plane as personal and collaborative perspectives.Refakt is a joint project founded in 2023 by Gergő Kincses and Máté Üveges. Both graduated as graphic artists from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts. Their primary focus is digital generative art and design, while their practice also incorporates a media-archaeological approach.
